The awesome thing is, all the political satire that the internet has created is clearly much more truthful and prevalent than the actual viewpoints of the candidates. Now that people are socially connected in the most incredible way, we technically should have more sway in how the candidates are viewed. Yet…the impact isn’t clear yet. The candidates are stuck in the past no matter how well their campaign team runs their Twitter. The way of the future is obviously social networking and (minus the electoral college) the public has much more political power than they realize. Ditto with any social issue.
